The Original Chair Company is based in Perthshire, Scotland. We source, upholster and sell upholstered chairs, sofas and chaise-longues. We have a real passion for classic antique chair designs and use contemporary styling to produce eye-catching furniture that adds a touch of elegance to any room! We pride ourselves in our creativity and original style.
High quality fabrics are used on our fully restored furniture and we offer a wide range of fabrics for you to choose from for your chair or sofa. We are happy to discuss your preferences and then send fabric samples through the post.
We also offer a finding service, if you are looking for a particular style of antique upholstered furniture we will source it for you.
Kate MacKenzie Collection
Kate has designed a range of comfortable and timeless furniture. These pieces will start to be launched during 2008. The range is classically inspired and its simplicity ensures the furniture looks as fine in a traditional setting as it does in a contemporary one. Kate has also selected a limited collection of exclusive bespoke furniture which again is built for you to a high specification using traditional methods of upholstery.
Whether we upholster an antique or make you a new chair of sofa, we pride ourselves in quality craftsmanship.
Each piece is worked on individually for you. We have a wide range of beautiful fabrics, you are also welome to supply your own.
